Description
Screened Fill (1 Yard)
Our Screened Fill is a practical material for bringing up grades, filling in low areas, and handling general yard or site buildup where you do not need rich planting soil. It is a good choice for homeowners and contractors who need clean bulk fill that is easier to move and spread than rougher material with large stones.
Because it does not contain large stones, Screened Fill is easier to work with using a shovel and wheelbarrow and is well suited for basic grading and fill applications. It is meant for building up areas, not for feeding grass or plants, so it works best as a base material where structure and coverage matter more than nutrients.
Best Uses
- Bringing up grades
- Filling in low areas
- General yard leveling and rough grading
- Base fill for landscape and site work
- Projects that need clean fill without large stones
Why Customers Choose Screened Fill
- Affordable bulk fill material
- Easier to shovel and move than rough fill
- Does not contain large stones
- Useful for grading and buildup work
- Good option when you do not need nutrient-rich topsoil
Important Note For Lawn Areas
If you plan to grow grass over the area, Screened Fill should be used as the base layer only. For the surface layer, we recommend adding about 3 inches of Screened Topsoil so the lawn has the nutrients and growing medium it needs.
If you need a richer soil for planting or lawn work, you can also look at our Screened Topsoil, Organic Garden Mix, or browse more options on our Soils & Compost page.
