Dyed Mulch — Shredded Hardwood

Colored Mulch (Brown, Black, Red)

$41/yard · Choose color at checkout

Three colors, one price. Finely shredded hardwood with earth-friendly colorant. Brown is the best seller. Black gives bold contrast. Red pops against brick. All safe for kids, pets, and plants.

Walnut Mulch

$41/yard

Our darkest dyed brown — deeper and richer than standard brown. Same base, same price, darker color. Our most popular mulch overall.

Freshly dyed brown mulch in front, undyed Eco Mulch behind — same material, before and after our Edge TRC 622 dye machine.

Bark Mulch — Premium, Naturally Pest-Resistant

Cedar Mulch

$63/yard · Natural, no dye

100% cedar bark — golden-brown, aromatic cedar scent, natural insect resistance. Brightest and most aromatic of our barks. Won't stain hardscape.

Red Cedar Mulch

$65/yard · Dyed cedar bark

Real cedar bark with a rich, warm red-tone colorant applied. Same cedar scent and pest resistance as natural cedar — just a bolder, more decorative color. The most eye-catching mulch we carry.

Hemlock Mulch

$64/yard · Natural, no dye

Pure hemlock bark — natural dark brown, fine texture, pest-resistant. Darkest and most refined of our barks. No dye, no colorant.

Premium Pine Mulch

$52/yard · Natural, no dye

Pine bark with natural reddish-brown color and pleasant pine scent. Slower decomposition than hardwood. Solid mid-range option between dyed and premium cedar or hemlock.

Natural & Economy — Best Value

Triple Ground Mulch

$32/yard

Three grinding passes for a fine, consistent texture. Light to medium brown, natural color — no dye. Looks like premium bark at a fraction of the price.

Eco Mulch

$27/yard — Lowest Price

Same ground wood fiber we use to make our dyed mulches — before dye is applied. Maximum coverage at minimum cost. Adds organic matter to soil as it breaks down.

Specialty Mulch

Sweet Peet

$65/yard

Mulches AND enriches. Thermally processed (weed-free), pH-buffering, biologically active. The only mulch that improves growing conditions. Top choice for serious gardeners.

Playground Mulch

$52/yard

IPEMA certified safety surfacing. Not landscape mulch — designed for fall protection under playsets and play equipment. Install at 6" depth.

Topsoil & Compost — Screened to 1/2"

Screened Topsoil

$45/yard · Half yard available

Farm loam and organic leaf compost blend, screened to 1/2". Dark, rich, easy to spread. The all-purpose soil for lawns, grading, seed prep, and planting beds.

Screened Compost

$45/yard · Half yard available

Pure organic compost — locally collected leaves, composted at our CT DEEP permitted facility, screened to 1/2". No sludge. Mix into existing soil to enrich gardens, beds, and lawns.

Planting & Garden Blends

Organic Garden Mix

Lawn Care

Top Dress Mix

$68/yard · $35/half yard

4 parts topsoil, 3 parts coarse sand, 1 part peat moss. Custom lawn blend for topdressing, leveling, overseeding prep, and turf renovation. What golf courses use.

Fill & Base Material

Screened Fill

$20/yard · Half yard available

Subsoil screened to 5/8". Not a growing medium — use it to raise grade and fill, then cap with topsoil. Save money by using fill where you need volume.

Sand — Three Types, Three Jobs

Concrete Sand

$62/yard

Coarse, gritty, low-silt sand that drains well and compacts firmly. The standard sand for mixing concrete, setting beneath pavers, and any application where drainage and stability matter.

Mason Sand

$61/yard

Fine, soft sand with higher silt content. Used for mixing mortar, filling between pavers, sandboxes, and horseshoe pits. The softest sand we carry.

Pool Sand

$60/yard

High-silt "dead" sand that packs flat and stays smooth. Designed specifically as underlayment beneath above-ground pool liners and pond liners. Rock-free, cushioned base.

Crushed Stone — Angular, Structural

3/4" Trap Rock (Crushed Stone)

$68/yard

Angular grey gravel — the standard crushed stone for driveways across Connecticut. DOT approved. Drains well, compacts under traffic. Used under sheds, in drainage ditches, behind retaining walls, and for French drains.

3/8" Grey Trap Rock

$81/yard

Smaller angular crushed stone — same material, finer size. Used for top-dressing driveways, filling gaps in existing gravel, and anywhere you need a tighter crushed stone surface.

1-1/4" Stone

$68/yard

Larger crushed stone for drainage and heavy base work. Bigger gaps between stones mean faster water flow — use for French drains, drainage trenches, behind walls, and under structures.

Base & Leveling Materials

3/4" Process Gravel

$58/yard

Crushed stone mixed with stone dust fines — compacts into a rock-hard base. The standard base material for patios, walkways, driveways, and shed pads. The foundation of every good hardscape job.

Stone Dust

$59/yard

Fine crushed stone screenings — the leveling layer on top of compacted process. Spread, screed, and set pavers directly on it. Also used as a mineral-rich garden soil additive.

Screened Millings

$25/yard — Lowest Price

Recycled asphalt millings, screened for consistency. Compacts like process at a fraction of the cost. Used for driveways, parking pads, farm roads, and utility paths. Darkens and binds over time in the sun.

Red Ballfield Clay

$75/yard

Infield clay for baseball and softball diamonds. Build mounds, repair batters boxes, patch worn areas. Proper moisture retention and compaction for competitive play.

Decorative Stone — Mulch Alternative

1/2" Native Round

$93/yard

Smooth, naturally rounded stone in a mix of earth tones. Tight coverage, clean look, easy to walk on. Affordable permanent alternative to annual mulching.

3/4" Native Round

$93/yard

Mid-size native round — good balance between coverage and visual presence. Works well in landscape beds, around trees, and along borders. Our most popular native round size.

1-1/4" Native Round

$93/yard

Largest native round — each stone individually visible. Bolder, more textured look for larger beds, property borders, and areas where you want visual weight.

River Jack 1-3"

$190/yard

Smooth, water-tumbled river rock. The most popular river jack for homeowners replacing mulch beds with stone — polished look that never fades, never needs replacing.

River Jack 2-4"

$187/yard

Mid-size river rock — bolder, more natural look. Permanent zero-maintenance mulch replacement that adds curb appeal and eliminates annual re-mulching.

River Jack 3-6"

$187/yard

Large river rock — statement stone for beds, foundations, borders, and accent areas. Each stone stands on its own. More design element than ground cover.

Gold Beach 3/4"

$180/yard

Smooth, rounded stone with warm gold and tan color variation. Premium decorative stone for beds, borders, and accent areas where appearance matters.

Gold Beach 3/8"

$185/yard

Smaller gold beach — tighter coverage, smoother finished appearance. Great for pathways and visible front-of-house beds.

3/4" White Stone

$170/yard

Bright white decorative stone — bold contrast against dark mulch, green foliage, and dark siding. Popular for borders, accent strips, and modern landscape designs.

Red Stone 3/4"

$185/yard

Rich red-toned decorative stone. Pairs well with brick and earth-toned exteriors. A permanent alternative to red mulch.

Liberty Pink 3/4"

$93/yard

Soft pink and rose-toned stone at our most affordable premium price. Subtle warmth for residential beds, borders, and garden areas.

3/8" Peastone

$95/yard

Small, smooth, rounded stone in natural tans and grays. Classic all-purpose decorative gravel for walkways, patio borders, dog runs, and play areas. Easy to rake and drains well — best used in contained or bordered areas as it can shift underfoot.

Screened topsoil stockpiled and ready — produced at our facility year-round.

Been doing business with them since they opened. By far the most reliable company. They allowed my company to grow to over $2 million dollars by getting all deliveries to pretty much everywhere. From Stamford to Guilford to Hartford and Danbury. I retired 5 years ago, and they treat my daughter just as well. I don’t miss too much about work, but I do miss seeing the guys there. Thank you for all you did for me and my family. God bless you guys!!!
